Ancestry DNA Testing.

Researching Your Ancestry? We Can Help
While much of our work at The Paternity Center deals with establishing the paternity of a child, we also recognize the importance of DNA testing for other reasons.
One of the other most popular, and sometimes vital, tests we do is to determine ancestry.

There are a good many professional and amateur genealogical researchers these days, and more catch the bug each year.
It's fun, for one thing, seeking out your ancestors, determining relationships, even perhaps finding existing family members that you didn't know about before.
In the latter case,
Ancestry DNA testing can definitely make a difference by current establishing family relationship, if that is desired. But that's not all.

Are you a little unclear on your ancestry and want to know if your family line originated in England, or some other spot in Europe? Perhaps you've always thought you were from a certain Scottish clan, but could you prove it? With Ancestry DNA testing, maybe.
We use various methods to determine ancestral lines and at least give you a general region in which to begin your search.

Many people of European descent within the United States already have a good idea of where their family originated.
This is not always the case, however, with Americans of African descent, due to various factors of the slave trade many years ago. In many of these cases, the records do not go back further than their arrival in the U.S., and sometimes not even that far.
We can help here, too.

We can, through the use of
Ancestry DNA testing, help people of African descent pinpoint parts of their ancestry and their ancestral homeland.
The continent of Africa is large and varied and even
DNA testing may not pinpoint an exact area or group of people, but we can at least get you closer to the region your ancestors came from.
From there, determining your origin and that of your ancestors may be a matter of researching the local history or speaking with people familiar with the area families. In any case, seeking your roots could be the beginning of a very informative adventure.

At The Paternity Center, however, we also recognize that determining ancestry is not only for genealogical research; it could be a matter of life and death. Adoptees may have a need to know for reasons ranging from medical to legal.
If this is your situation, we can help.

No matter why you want or need
